Hnin Ei Hlaing shared that she is a 27-year-old Myanmar helper who is single. She shared that she comes from a family of four and is the youngest child. She has helped her parents with household tasks and learned to manage daily chores from a young age. She shared that she has 1 year of experience working as a helper for a family with a 4-year-old child. Her responsibilities included taking care of the child, preparing meals, cleaning and managing general household duties. She also shared that she has 2 years of experience caring for an 89-year-old elderly Ah Ma who had hypertension. Her duties included assisting with daily care, reminding and providing medication, preparing meals, cleaning and supporting the elderly’s daily needs. Through her experiences, she shared that she has gained exposure in both childcare and elderly care.She shared that she enjoys cooking and is able to prepare Myanmar dishes and some simple Chinese dishes. She is comfortable following recipes and is willing to learn new dishes according to the employer’s preferences. She is also able to manage general household duties such as cleaning, laundry, ironing and maintaining household cleanliness.Based on her sharing, she describes herself as cheerful and gentle. She shared that she is afraid of cats but is comfortable with both small and large dogs. She shared that she has no newborn care experience and feels more confident in childcare, while also being willing to assist with elderly care. Families with childcare needs or elderly care requirements may consider her based on her previous experience and willingness to learn.
Our journey began with a simple observation from our own experiences as an employer: the challenges many face in finding reliable, skilled domestic helper while navigating the high agency fees and complexities of paperwork and processes. We realized that many agencies have overlooked the essence of service – understanding the genuine needs of both employers and employees.
Our company aim to integrate the current technology to make the hiring processes seamless for employer and they can do it even at the comfort of their home. This could significantly lower the cost to as low as the bare cost of direct hiring a helper. Our vision was born out of this understanding, and with a determination to bridge this gap, Easy Hire Maid Agency was established.
